Unveiling Jogja's Cultural Treasures
Yogyakarta, often referred to as “Jogja,” is a city located on the Indonesian island of Java, renowned for its traditional arts and cultural heritage. Yes, we’re talking about the Sultan Palace (Keraton), along with various cultural events and activities in the heart of Jogja, also known as the Keraton area.
This trip holds particular appeal for first-time visitors to Jogja, as I promise to reveal a wealth of intriguing stories that embody the essence of Yogyakarta.
Journey into the Soul
We will meet at 8 AM to begin our exploration, starting with a visit to the illustrious Sultan Palace (Keraton). Following this, we will indulge in a delightful lunch at a traditional restaurant nestled within the Keraton area, immersing ourselves in the background stories that surround this magnificent city of Jogja.
After our meal, we have the option to continue our journey with a visit to either the Museum Sonobudoyo or the Jogja Gallery, where we can appreciate regular art and cultural exhibitions. To unwind, we’ll enjoy a cup of afternoon coffee before heading out for dinner.
At the end of our trip, we will attempt to cross between the massive trees at Alun-alun Kidul square to find out how dirty our hearts are 😉
